INDUSTRIAL SAFETY
For employees working in environments with low oxygen levels or high concentrations of hazardous substances in the surrounding air. These conditions may occur on industrial sites, installations, in workshops or confined spaces. IS diplomas are particularly important in the petrochemical sector and port-related industries.
Do you work in an environment with low oxygen levels or where high concentrations of hazardous substances may be present in the air? This hands-on course teaches you how to work safely and effectively with both self-contained and supplied-air independent respiratory protective equipment.
You will learn how to correctly inspect, put on, remove and use respiratory protective equipment. You will practise using self-contained breathing apparatus with compressed-air cylinders as well as supplied-air systems connected to an air line. You will also learn how to move and carry out work in difficult-to-access locations, calculate air consumption and return time, and respond correctly in emergency situations. The course also covers respiratory function, hazard recognition, protection levels and LMRA.
